Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Kampala – Kibale Forest

After breakfast, we take a 5-hour drive to Kibale Forest arriving just in time for lunch at our accommodation.

In the afternoon, we shall go birding in the surrounding areas of our accommodation and be sure to have a rich list of birds in this area.

Day 2: Chimp Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park

Great morning breakfast and not only are we geared for a full day of birding but also an encounter with primates that inhabit this forest including families of chimps and red colobus monkeys.

In the Afternoon, we go to Bigodi swamp for an impressing bird walk.

Day 3: Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park

We shall have an early morning bird walk to Magombe swamp with our birding guide, and later on drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with stunning views of the Ruwenzori Mountains.

In Queen Elizabeth, our birding walk starts at the shores of Lake George and the Mweya Peninsula, with breathtaking surroundings.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have an early morning game drive as we spot our bird targets for the day in this park that has a record of over 610 bird species.

In the afternoon, the best of the best in Queen Elizabeth a launch trip on the Kazinga channel where we spot both migratory birds and resident beautiful birds.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Bwindi Forest is one of the best birding spots in Africa, rich with birdlife spanning to specials like the Albertine rift valley endemics. Bwindi is also home to the endangered rare mountain gorillas, so, be ready to enjoy a great birding encounter en-route to your lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Spare for the most enthralling wildlife experience Gorilla Trekking. As the search for the rare endangered mountain gorilla, we shall see a number of Albertine rift endemics. What an experience!

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After a great breakfast, we head to Ruhija in Bwindi and have a full day s birding tour at Mubwindi swamp.

Day 8: Bwindi – Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you will set off for Lake Mburo National Park and have lunch en-route as we bird all journey through.

You will have an evening relaxation as we revamp our energies in the vast woodland and savannah lands.

Day 9: Lake Mburo National Park

Enjoy a full day birding with an afternoon boat ride in search for the rare water species. This park is populated with over 315 species.

Day 10: Lake Mburo – Kampala

After your breakfast, we’ll leave the park at leisure while being sure to see a variety of wild game like the zebras and impalas as we leave. You’ll also make a stopover at the drum makers station in Masaka and the Equator, for souvenirs and photography.

Then you’ll be dropped at your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe, or at the airport for your onward journey.
